Abstract

Soil Capital was engaged by a European corporate to transition an international farming business from conventional to regenerative farming. The portfolio consisted of some 20 farms located in 8 countries globally. Production is mostly fruit, destined both to local and export markets. Soil Capital was the executive manager of this business.

Key Regenerative Efforts:

Integration of cover crops to fixate nutrients, increase water holding capacity and attract pests away from the fruit
Holistic grazing with rotational livestock management ahead of fruit plantation
Compost and mulch applications to manage the impact of drought
